Group CrossFit Programs

At CrossFit Coeur d’Alene, we recognize that personal fitness goals vary with every athlete that trusts us with their training- because of this, we are proud to be the only CrossFit gym in the area that offers two distinct workout options for our members: The Honeybadgers, and the Skunkworks.

Our most popular training option, The Honeybadger program is designed for the everyday athlete that just wants to feel good and pursue long term health: goals include general fitness, body composition, joint health, and preparation for an active lifestyle. Honeybadgers get sweaty every day, and have a blast doing it- with less focus on heavy weights and advanced CrossFit movements, every athlete who walks through the doors of CFCDA can get a challenging, fun workout any day of the week.

CrossFit is broad, general, inclusive fitness- and those who follow our Skunkworks programming will become proficient at the Sport of Fitness: weightlifting, gymnastics, percentage work, and specific training cycles all play a large part of the Skunkworks programming. Competitive athletes, and those that simply love barbells and challenging movements, thrive on our mix of lifting, gymnastics, old-school strength, and traditional CrossFit workouts.

The Heart and Barbell Club

The Heart and Barbell Club: our USAW weightlifting club, with 3 classes per week- a focus on olympic weightlifting and strength development.

The Heart and Barbell club meets Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays; each class lasts one hour and dovetails nicely with the weekly CrossFit programming. Come in for some quick lifts, clang n’bang, and camaraderie- you’ll become a better athlete, and have a great time!

Personal Training

While our Group CrossFit classes are designed to achieve the fitness goals of our varied community, nothing beats training for specific goals like personal training.

  • You’ll find the greatest success with personal training if you’re needs include:
  • Extra accountability
  • You are referred by a physician, physical therapist or chiropractor
  • You have specific performance goals (triathlon, etc.)
  • You have significant health or orthopedic issues

Your coach will tailor workouts specific for your fitness level and goals, and progress you at the proper pace.

In addition to offering one-on-one session, we offer private small group training. This is a great way to get a more personalized program at half the cost or less of a normal one-on-one session.

CrossFit Kids & Teens

CrossFit Kids introduces the CrossFit method to children ages 3-18. Based on the principle of Mechanics, Consistency and then Intensity, CrossFit Kids emphasizes good movement throughout childhood and adolescence. Consistently good mechanics translates to physical literacy, enhanced sports performance and fewer sports injuries for kids. Not only that, a vast body of research indicates that exercise is beneficial to cognitive function, which means consistent adherence to the program can have a positive impact on children’s academic achievement.

CrossFit Kids is meant to be BIG fun for all ages. Broad-Inclusive-General fun. Fun means we provide an active alternative to sedentary pursuits, which means less childhood obesity and all-around better health for our children. Further, the needs of second graders and high-school varsity wrestlers differ by degree and not kind; the program is scalable for any age or experience level and accounts for the varied maturation status one can find in a class full of kids.

The Sport of Fitness

CrossFit Coeur d’Alene has a long tradition of competing at a high level in the Sport of Fitness; we have sent both teams and individuals to compete at the Regional level or higher every year since 2010. Recently, Team CFCDA has placed 4th in the Northwest Region in 2012, 2013, and 2014, and 10th in 2015.

If you are serious about competing look no further- we are the only gym in the North Idaho area with multiple Regional level coaches. We hold specialty competitors classes and seminars that are designed to give you the tools you need to compete in CrossFit as well as provide you the chance to train with other high level athletes.
