What is the 6 Week Challenge?

Ah, the new year. A time for us to look back at what we’ve accomplished, and look ahead towards new goals. For many folks, this means resolutions- perhaps to be more patient, or to be on-time, or for many, to “get in shape”. Making a resolution means changing a habit, and as they say, old habits die hard. After the new year, gyms across the world see an influx of well-intentioned “resolutioners”, hell-bent on bettering themselves. Motivation flags after a few weeks without a plan and support system, and one-by-one, the resolution crowd becomes a bit less…  …resolute.

At CrossFit CDA, we know that bettering yourself takes work, and a healthy lifestyle is the result of good habits and a great support system. For those of you looking to make the change, we’ve designed our “6 weeks to a Better You” program to help jumpstart to process, and make sure that your resolution becomes the new normal! Over the course of six weeks, we’ll begin by helping you set realistic goals, and make sure you understand the critical aspects of nutrition, meal planning, and other lifestyle factors that play a major role in your day-to-day health. All the while, we’ll meet in small group classes led by the regions most experienced coaches, with workouts specifically designed for folks new to CrossFit. Classes will meet Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:30pm, starting January 10th-with an optional Saturday class at 9:15am. We’ll have an in-class nutrition challenge to help you down the right path (with prizes!), and even provide with a free logbook with spots to record your workouts, food, measurements, and even illustrated glossary of common CrossFit movements! After the six week session is complete, you’ll have access to the regions most extensive CrossFit class schedule, with classes running nearly hourly, every weekday!
