The Mascot

Meet Fran…our newest member of the gym and she’s as vicious as they come. Don’t let her wrinkles fool you, she means business. She will certainly lick you to death if you don’t demonstrate good form!
Chelle, Alex, Jarod and Verla all knocking out some pull ups and ring rows with plenty of room to spare!

Making Gains

We love to see our clients improve…its why we do what we do! There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a fellow CrossFitter get their first pull up, muscle up or achieve one of their many goals.

Roselyn achieving her very first rope climb. She stopped in on her day off to see how the new box was going and got motivated to try one and she got it….in heels!!!!!

Stephen started out using “invisible weights,” now he’s rocking the rope with a weight vest!

Kristen, also known as K2, is moving through the bands on her pull ups very quickly!

Kristin muscled through a 45# Turkish Get Up, thats some good core strength. She’s also doing a sprint triathlon this weekend. Good luck!

Open House!

We just want to send out a great Thank You to everyone who came by on Saturday and either got a peek at the new place or let us put them through a workout. Almost all our regular CrossFitters stopped by but also a lot of friends, family and complete strangers wondering who we were and what we did. Our answer was simple: functional movements at high intensity…wanna try?

We didn’t forget all those who helped in the process of getting the place ready to go so quickly. In just 9 days we tore down 2 walls, built another wall, filled in concrete and countless other little things. We couldn’t have done it without the support of our CrossFitters and we think they couldn’t have done it without CrossFit!

Rigo, Kristin (hidden in the blue), Stephen and Jarod making a clear statement.

Derek and Rigo. Breaking in the new place right.

The first muscle up. This was before he indulged in the ice cream sundae!

Before any demolition…we had some work cut out for us!!!

Derek and Christmas…in the demolition stage but close to completion!

CrossFit Vacationers

Or is it vacation CrossFitters? Either way, due to the fact that we live in beautiful Coeur d’Alene, we have been getting a nice influx of CrossFitters from around the country. The nice thing about CrossFit is that even if you’ve never met someone, once you start talking about CrossFit its as if you’ve known them for years.

Drew and Jeff prove to us that the stereotype of SECWAR guys and Oakleys really is true.

Strong CrossFitters!

We decided to have a strength day at CrossFit CDA, and here are a few of the highlights…

Congratulations Alex!

Congratulations to Alex, who finished a sprint triathlon recently. Here’s what she has to say about CrossFit helping her:

“I have done sprint distance triathlons throughout my
life and recently just finished one this month. With
absolutely no training in the swim, bike, or run since
last year for a different triathlon I was amazed at
the strength and endurance CrossFit gave me, and the
energy I had from eating “zone.” Last year I trained
only in the swim, bike, run…this year I only did
CrossFit and I not only felt great afterwards, but my
time improved. I can’t wait to combine the training in
CrossFit with the tri events for my next race.”

Way to go! You can read her blog here.

Nice Jarod!

Park Gods

CrossFit CDA represented as usual at the park on Saturday. We did Chelsea, and I think everyone has a new respect for her.
The new faces are Rigo, Mark, and Catherine. Rigo has a CrossFit monster hiding inside him, and Mark and Catherine have been waiting patiently for a CrossFit Affiliate to open up, so we are glad to welcome them to the family.

Hard Work and CONSISTENCY!

Kristin has been with us since we opened a few months ago and has shown great improvements,
particularly in the last few weeks.
She recently got her kip down, enabling her to crank out some serious pull-ups! She also recently did the CrossFit Total, a combined effort of an overhead press, deadlift, and back squat. She shattered her last personal record of 255, getting a total of 340! Kristin is an example of what hard work and consistency brings, and is an inspiration to us all!

CrossFit Kids Kicking Butt

We’re in our third week of CrossFit Kids and they are doing awesome! Here is Sita doing Thrusters. She is petite but a powerhouse!
Sita and Katlyn after their workout.
The concrete was cold so they decided to lay on it to cool off!
