Athlete of the Month: Mallory Kubat

It took Mallory a bit to be convinced that Crossfit was for her, and now she is more committed then ever. She come consistently 3-4 times a week and her hard work is really paying off! Glad to have you a part of the tribe Mallory!



How long have you been doing Crossfit:

I’ve been going on and off for a little over a year now, but I’ve been truly committed and consistent for six about months

Athletic background:

I played soccer from five years old to college and also ran track, played basketball and cheered in high school. Cheered competitively in college for two years.


I like to hike the area and LOVE to swim. I love camping and boating. Playing coed recreational soccer when I can, and basketball. Anything to be outdoors in the sun and be active. I also love movies and trying new restaurants and food with my wife (:

How did you get started with CF:

A coworker was trying Crossfit and invited me to try boot camp. Six months later, my friend Alyssa convinced me to give it another try, and I fell in love with it.

Three things you don’t know about me:
Growing up I raced motor cross, I have an ALMOST black belt in Tae Kwon Do (brown, that’s embarrassing) that I got in sixth grade, and I am expecting my second niece in October!

Favorite thing about our box:

The people. I’ve met some of the friendliest and most supportive people at our box. Everyone is really helpful and I look forward to seeing a lot of faces every morning. I’ve made a lot of new friends at cdacf.

What other boxes have you been to?

No other boxes so far, but I’m planning a trip in the Seattle area in the near future and will be visiting one while I’m there!
