Open WOD 12.1

The Open is upon us, and it is… …effing burpees. Ah well. At least HQ does not program with Airdynes! The plan, if you all missed it:

1. SIGN UP FOR THE OPEN! It’s not too late, you have until Sunday at 5pm to get with the program!

2. See this post?for the lowdown on weekly timelines, etc.

3. Make the Burpee.

Judging is going to be critical, if you are doing the WOD, prep yourself on standards here. We will have our super-secret-ninja WOD 12.1 prep posted on the Thursday board at the gym- let’s get after it!

  1. Ugh. Is all I have to say about this one… this entails, sore arms, scrapped up knees, and lungs of fire! Thank you Crossfit HQ. I really with I was 5 foot 2 inches and weighed 100#…. Marissa is going to rock this!

    • Haha Cam…sure it could be better if you were Marissa but could be much worse, you could be me! Woe is me!

      If the Crossfit Gods are listening, can I please get a 300 lb deadlift with ring rollouts WOD to boost my spirits; that or a corpse pose with 24″ box squats WOD? Amen.

    • I remember a comment from last year on one of the early WOD’s, with light weights and bodyweight movements: “This will really favor those bouncy little f**kers!”. So, the little bouncy people will love this one. But surely something else will come out of the hopper for future WOD’s that will favor the bigger athletes.

  2. Is there anybody out there that would like to do this “thing” tomorrow morning? I can’t make it saturday.

  3. The worste part is that there are 110 teams signed up in our region and only 30 go through to regionals… top teams are getting over 100 burpees per athlete! Man this is going to be a nut kicker… looks like I will have Fran cough all weekend after this attempt!!!! Definitely a WOD only worth doing once!

  5. Is it so gross to say I am sooo excited about this WOD????? I just hope I can hit the target and keep a good pace….this could be my one good Wod people!!! At least it wasn’t 7 minutes of double unders!:-)

  10. I’m not helping much with my score. In addition to selecting CFCDA as our affiliate should we select CFCDA as our team? Also I see we have to have our score validated by the affiliate, I didn’t write mine down anywhere, what the protocol for that?

      -choose us as your team
      -log your score under your profile, choosing us as the affiliate
      -we will validate it.
      -this must be done before Sunday at 5pm!

  12. I tried to post my score, it doesn’t recognize the affiliate?? i must be doing something wrong, It’s Crossfit CDA…right? it asks me to select one, but there is no pulldown menu….poopers! any suggestions?

  13. It’s Crossfit Coeur d’Alene is the team and affiliate.
